ESSENTIAL READS FOR CHRISTIAN LEADERS

Heavenly Father, I praise Your Name and the Name of Jesus. I know you want the best for me and I know accountability is a tool towards the best and I am resistant. I keep thinking I will change and come to You soon when I am a better version of me. Lord, I know you are ever present and want to be WITH me as I grow and change.
Father give me the courage to ask for help to be accountable. I want to be a better steward of my resources, my time, my gifts. I am often wasteful as I watch TV or spend money on unnecessary wants. Lord bring me a fellow believer who will help me be a better father and grandfather. I like to work and often don’t reach out to my family as I should.
Lord the list is long and I know it is not about the accountability list but about my fear of being judged so I go alone. Lord break that cycle. I want to go WITH You and WITH one or two men of God. Lord give me the courage to not go alone. To reach out for help. To declare my dreams with another and to go forward towards the me you made me to be. Amen. |
|
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
|
Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
|
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. |

| THE POWER OF ACCOUNTABILITY: IRON SHARPENS IRON |
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to lose sight of our spiritual and personal growth. We often find ourselves grappling with internal struggles, battling negative attitudes, and trying to navigate life's challenges alone. Alone is dangerous. However, as followers of Christ, we are called to live in community and hold each other accountable. This is where the concept of "iron sharpening iron" comes into play...READ MORE

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. |

Being with other leaders is huge. We work on real problems and opportunities! We get help and give help. Best of all we keep Jesus in the center.
|
I was so surprised at the quality of the people and how quickly we could help each other work and share with faith as a focus. It was pretty darn good. |

Being a mentee is about being open, getting heard, and gaining support.
Embrace inquiries you may have overlooked and the viewpoints of those who've walked a similar path. Mentor Link Up aims to facilitate connections with empathetic listeners, acknowledging the intricacies of your current journey. Let us support you by linking you with someone who understands and values your experiences. |
Being a mentor is about offering perspective, deflating tension, and exploring possibilities.
Contrary to the belief that mentors must possess all the answers or an impressive success tale, Mentor Link Up aims to redefine mentoring. Here, a mentor is anyone capable of posing pertinent questions and easing life's pace for another by creating a secure space for thoughtful reflection. |
|
Be a mentor - Get a mentor. Men require companionship on their journey to manhood. Each man should actively seek several mentors to exchange ideas, aspirations, and concerns.
Participate in our monthly gathering, where three mentors and three mentees convene for introductions and meaningful conversations over three cups of coffee. This is a space for men to observe, inquire, and support one another. Be a part of our Band of Brothers – become a brother today! |
