Discipleship

Discipleship

Heavenly Father,

Today I come to you with the thought of discipleship and what you want for me in that idea. I must admit that at times I am quite fearful that I don’t have what it takes to represent you well. I fear being judged. I fear being called a fake. I have not memorized a ton of scripture. I am not a pastor.

I do love you and seek to follow and obey.

You commanded me to “GO” and make disciples. Lord help me to obey your command.

Help me to seek one. One man needing Jesus. I know there are many. Who is close to me that you would have me connect with and offer to walk with together; seeking to understand who you are: Creator, Designer, Healer, Father, Comforter, Friend, Lord, Savior – so many identities to fill so many needs.

Help me to see the needs of those that I am walking with day by day.

Lord, encourage me. Create a fearlessness in me. Create a desire to be WITH you as I disciple those men you have prepared.

In the name of Jesus I pray.

AMEN.
