Father God – You are good…… good…… so good and I know I am called to draw close to you and I desire to draw close and yet often I run to work, to activity, towards the world. You have designed me to work and draw close. Help me to come into your presence to allow you to wash over me and prepare me for work and to work with excellence.
Intimacy is a disorienting word, Lord. You call me to reveal and often I feel exposed. I know you know all this. You know my everything. I guess I am trying to deny or get “fixed” to be worthy of being WITH you.
Lord that is a lie. I rebuke that excuse and declare I give you everything. The good me and the broken me are all yours. Lord, I accept your love. You have made me worthy. Worthy with you, worthy from you and worthy at work.
Thank you Lord, for calling me to work and to be close. To be intimate with you. Forever I will “trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding.” I trust you with me.
